Few months back I i found a nice
wordpress theme designed by
Ndesign called GlossyBlue, a 2-column widget ready theme.
Here’s a snapshot of the 2-column glossy blue theme:
Actually I’ve been searching for a 3-column theme but I like the theme so much that I decided to give it a try. And yes, it’s a nice and workable theme. Love the mini icons provided by Ndesign. Here’s a snapshot of the 3-column glossy blue theme:
As months past by, my sidebar requires me to have more stuff in it. With this, I need a 3-column GlossyBlue theme. I’ve tried searching for it but none is available yet so I decided to make the a 3-column GlossyBlue theme :D.
In making the 3-column, I did some tweaking on the followings:
- Adjusted the overall size of the page from 760px to 920px from the style.css
- Added right sidebar coding to the sidebar.php
- Added similar coding for the left and right sidebar via its style.css
- Tested it in Firefox and Internet Explorer 6. However, sometimes the alignment do not appear good in IE. It’s always good in firefox. That’s why I hate using IE. Can’t microsoft build a better browser!
These are some of the stuff that I’ve made changes to the theme to make it work for me. However, should you have any problem seeing it in Internet Explorer, appreciate if you can inform me so I can make the proper changes the overall appearance to cater for IE.
Note: It’s funny, I tested the theme in my IE and it looks okay, and on certain day it looks distorted. Can anyone update me on this if you are you using IE?
Fixed some minor bug that I’ve detected [updated as at 19 September 2007]. You can test the theme by downloading it: GlossyBlue 3-column theme
