While I was busy with Tina and Gavyn, I do have to act professional in my line of work. Recently, I was required to attend our Away Day in COLMAR Bukit Tinggi to discuss on my Department’s Strategies and Initiatives for April 2008 until March 2009.

This is very important to me because it will determine what I need to achieve and need to be done in the next 12 months.

Balancing personal and work commitments is not easy especially when your wife just delivered your baby. So, with this is mind, I have to attend the session.

To make this happen I have to drive 60 - 90 minutes from my house and decide not to stay the night at COLMAR.

On Thursday, I started my drive at 0530 AM and arrived COLMAR at 0640 AM just in time for the breakfast. Arriving COLMAR at that hours was quite scary because the area is so dark no street lights available. Other than that, the road along Genting Sempah is really dark and it makes the driving dangerous especially when its combined with dark and winding roads.

I had the meetings the whole day. The team decided to stop the meeting in the evening but I insisted them to finish the meeting the same day. Luckily they agreed, and we finished discussing the strategies and initiatives arounf 1230 AM on Friday.

Phew! That was a long day to discuss and debate on the strategies and initiaves that need to be done for the next 12 months. Again, at wee hours in the morning, I have to drive down the dark hills and try to reach home to see Gavyn. He is my latest addiction nowadays

All in all, this place is an interesting getaway for the family, and I plan to go here again in the near future.
