Day 2: We are still in day two of our trip. As I said, Langkawi is a heaven for foreigner and local alike. I met an Australian who actually brought his yatch and dock it into one of the many jetty in Langkawi.

But, I finished my day shopping with the rest of the family. As usual, the ladies bought a lot of kitchen ware while I spend my time browsing through the booze that they have to offer. Bought a unique Johnny Walker bottle for RM135.00, and two bottles of BIN888 Australian wine. Of course we drank one bottle of the wine. I kept the other one for future utilisation. End our night by eating in a chinese restaurant called “Lucky Restaurant”. Sorry to say, I am giving this restaurant a one of five rating due to the bad food with a high price tag even for Malaysian standard. Nope, wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

Day 3: We woke-up really early with sightseeing in mind. We started our day by driving through Cenang Beach and Padang Mat Sirat. Would love to tell the history behind Padang Mat Sirat but I hate history so let’s forget about that section. Maybe next time. Visited some of the beaches from Kok Beach up to Rhu Beach. Nothing interesting as compared to my already beautiful hometown, Kota Kinabalu. Went to the cable car but we decided not to use it. Anyway, I’ve tried the one in Cape Town and its much more scenic that this one. Also went to Langkawi Geopark and it looks so superficial with a lot of expensive price tag in the vincinity. Very impressive but that’s about it.

The even have a crocodile farm which I don’t bother to see. We have lots of crocodile in the Sarawak river to see. But I did stop by at the horse stable to let Gavyn watch the horse. He looks thrilled, and maybe because that’s his first time to a horse.

In the evening, we spent a little bit more time shopping before going to the beach. End our night at a good chinese restaurant called something like “May Hiang Restaurant”. I would totally recommend this restaurant. It provide good food with a funny boss characteristic. Apparently, this is also the favourite spot for foreigners.

Day 4: as the flight is around 3pm, we spent our last day packing our stuff so we can outlaw the immigration. For your info, if you are in the island less than 72 hours, any item brought out will be taxed. How much? A whopping 30% of the value. But I guess you can bring a bottle of 1 liter liquor and 2 packs of cigarettes if you are there more than 48 hours.

In summary, Langkawi has a lot to offer for those who just wanted to getaway from the city and have fun with the family. I believe the family has a good time being together. My advise rent a car and browse the island your way and importantly enjoy in whatever you are doing

The flight took exactly 55mins to arrive Langkawi Airport at Padang Mat Sirat. We took the night flight so we arrived Langkawi around half past nine feeling hungry. Checked into our apartment which is located inside the Holiday Villa vincinity. The apartment was nice and cosy but it could be better maintained. Did our late night dinner before sleeping and waiting for the next day.

Day 2: we woke-up a bit late, we were on our holiday anyway, why not right! Got changed and went for a short walk. There are so many foreigners here and its interesting to see that they are everywhere enjoying the Malaysian weather. Here’s a snapshot of the morning walk.

Day 2 was full with shopping activity even though there;s not much to shop for me. However, this could be a shopping paradise for those who likes liquor, and kitchenware. I do not really know the prices for kitchenware but Tina says its cheap. The cigarrette is expensive by RM2 as compared to the one on KLIA (RM50) and in-flight MAS prices (RM48). I guess its tax-free and not profit free - hehehe. There are other items as well but does not interest me. All in all, Langkawi can be a good place for shopping if you don’t really care about the brand. Look at this Russians, so many of them.

Frankly, its funny because I have been all around the world and yet, I have not been to Langkawi, a small island located in Kedah. Some says its a shopping haven, and some say its a leasuire city. I guess maybe because of its free duty symbol.

I will reserve my comment until I have experience it myself. So wait for my updates on Langkawi

Again, Buenos Aires is always a challenge to me mainly because of the language barrier. Yes, many people do not speak English here due to the fact that their education system does not emphasize much in English. To break this barrier I decided to learn Spanish before I came here. So, Kinokuniya did I went, bought two “learn to speak spanish” sort of books to help me cope with the barrier. Buying book gives me two benefits: one - I can learn spanish anywhere anytime; two - i get deduct the amount from my taxation later on. The question is does it help?

After much testing this few days, the answer is yes. It helps albeit not much, because the Argentinien speaks so fast. Most of the time, I only manage to catch the last word that came out of their mouth. Well, i guess its part of the learning curve right? Anyway, I look forward to be in Barcelona in early December and test it one more time. Practice! Practice! and hope it will stay and stick in my brain.

Travelling so much makes me miss my beautiful wife, Tina and son, Gavyn.Based on my last conversation with Tina, Gavyn is learning to stand by himself. Can’t wait to see both of them. I bought a cute 1-year old Argentina football jersey for Gavyn - let’s hope it fits him well.

Will be updating Gavyn’s pic this week soon, yes, before I leave for my holiday in Langkawi with the rest of my family. I think I deserve a relaxing holiday before my next two week travel to Europe - duh!

It has been hell for me for the past weeks as I was very busy and still is.. I guess it must be due to the winter season that more people need cargoes to fill their storage tanks Anyhow, I was in London last week and it was really cold. This is quite unusual in October.

When I arrived London on Tuesday morning, it was already zero degree. The weather started to look good in the afternoon but it went the other way that night. It was snowing, but not heavy tho”. Again snowing? in October? That is really weird. Red some where that it was the first after 70 years. I guess the global warming is really contributing here.

Am currently, waiting for my flight to Tokyo, Japan. Frankly speaking I haven’t been here for quite some time now, and I believe much have changed since I left to do Europeans market. Will write more soon.

• No details are mentioned in Honda Malaysia website. I wonder how much it will cost down here. I would expect it to be lower than RM90,000.

• It is worth it? Some people say yes, some say no. I would say it depends…because it’s so subjective
• Every time I go to the shopping complexes, I would take some short trip to the watch shop - just to have a peek of those beautiful watches.
• Some brands that I like are Patek Phillipe, Blacnpain, Audemars Piguet, Maurice Lacroix, Vacheron Constantine, Frederique Constant to name a few. I like to observe the needle ticking inside the watch. You can observe these from the Open Heart and Skeleton type of watches.
• I also like to observe the tourbillon type of watch. Usually  this type of watch costs a bomb due to the complication and intensive labor involved in their construction. Most people are not able to afford this object of beauty - well, this includes me.
• Some shops in Kuala Lumpur that I went do give discount up to 30%+5%, should they really need to sell the watch. But with the discount, it’s still that expensive

• Today is a specialy day to me because its my birthday.
• I was born 29 years ago today in Queen Elizabeth hospital in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia

1. Finally I’ve figured out how to actually use the GPS in the blackberry. It took me awhile to actually use it with the pre-installed Blackberry map.
2. To use it you will first need to turn on your data service. It’s located at Options > Network > Data services
3. Secondly, go to the blackberry map and start your GPS. You can test it by locating where you are.
4. However, the GPS on shows where you are located. I can’t actually figure out how to show the arrows showing the way to go. I guess I will need another software for that. I am currently eyeing the Garmin software for Blackberry.
5. Please take note that using the GPS sytem requires a lot of battery consumption.
